Rachel Bouvin has always been versatile as a therapist, and was always interested in learning about each domain within the scope of speech and language therapy. However, since the beginning of her career she has evidenced a heightened interest in assistive technology. This drive to learn more has facilitated Rachel to become a well known expert in the Assistive Technology field. Rachel is driven to help provide access to the curriculum to those who would not have otherwise been able to without specialized tools and applications.

She also is dedicated to giving access to communication via the use of augmentative and alternative methods for those with complex communication needs.  Helping give people a voice is a responsibility she takes very seriously. Rachel works with her clinicians to turnkey the knowledge she has in order to help individuals discover the power of communication. She dedicated many years to treating cases herself, providing compassionate and effective care to children with speech delays, language disorders, and other complex communication challenges.

As her firm has grown, Rachel now oversees a team of skilled clinicians, ensuring that every child who comes to her practice receives the best possible care. Despite her shift in focus to management, Rachel remains committed to her original mission of providing individualized care and tailored strategies to help children reach their full potential. This shift was secondary to Rachel’s need to frequently appear as an expert witness in student hearings, advocating for needed evaluations and services. Rachel makes time to provide consultations and in-service presentations for families and medical professionals on speech and language services and assistive technology. She has also presented at several industry conferences, including The Queens Family Support Conference and Closing the Gap. With her expertise and unwavering dedication, Rachel has become a trusted and respected figure in the field of speech and language therapy.
